At Brandenburg United Methodist Church we believe that music is a very important part of worship. We provide opportunities for children and adults to participate in various choirs and special music.

Our Music Director, John Trotter, is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree is music. He coordinates various performances throughout the year, directs the Chancel Choir, and assists the Praise Team.

Cheri Lawrence is the pianist/organist for the the 11:00 a.m. service and Shannon Bradley is the pianist for the 8:45 a.m. service.

Mimi Wilson directs our Children's Choir and Stephanie Stone is directing our Preschool Choir.

• Chancel Choir

Our Chancel Choir rehearses on Sunday evenings at 5:00 p.m. This choir provides special music the 11:00 Worship Service. Highlights of their musical calendar include special music for Christmas and Easter as well as occasional performances with Higher Vision, the Praise Team and Children's Choir.



• Praise Team

The Praise Team meets and rehearses on Sunday evenings at 6:00. Our music selections range from contemporary Christian hits to traditional hymns. The traditional songs are often done with a modern twist. Everyone is welcome to join the Praise Team.



• Children's Choir

The BUMC Children's Choir is made up of children in the first through sixth grades. Children's Choir is combined with the Kid's in Christ (KIC) Club for exciting Wednesday activities. In the fall, Children's Choir works on production of a Christmas musical that is presented in December. KIC Club does activities that re-enforce the message that is shared in the musical. We also work on learning praise music and present these songs during worship a few times a year. In the spring, Children's Choir and KIC Club continue with special activities on Wednesday nights.

• Preschool Choir

Preschool Choir is available for children 3 years old through kindergarten. The children meet on Wednesday evenings during Half Time (from 7:00-8:00 pm). Children learn and sing praise songs, play games, listen to a Bible story and work on a related activity within the class time. We have approximately 20 children in this program each year.

• "Higher Vision"

This ladies ensemble performs in our church and other churches.
